Madina Joldybek (previously Zholdybekova) aka madikendraws is a multidisciplinary artist, illustrator and educator born and raised in Kazakhstan, currently based in London.

Her practice revolves around themes of women's bodily integrity, sexuality, multi-dimensional motherhood, kelinism, decolonization, and authoritarian regimes. Madina employs various mediums such as illustration, weaving, sculpture, video, and installation in her work. Selected exhibitions and public programs showcasing her work include A. Kasteyev State Museum of Arts in Almaty (March 2024), Biennale Matter of Art at National Gallery Prague (June-Sep 2024), Asia NOW at the Monnaie de Paris (2023), W3 Gallery in London (2023), (CHAT) Centre for Heritage, Arts and Textile in Hong Kong (2023), Tselinny Center of Contemporary Culture in Almaty (2023), Studio106LA (2023), documenta fifteen in Kassel (2022), Kingshill House in Dursley (2022), Slavs and Tatars' Pickle Bar in Berlin (2022), Garage Museum (2020). Joldybek has done commissions for openDemocracy, H&M, Front Line Defenders, and OSCE x CAYN. She is a member of the DAVRA collective, an artists' project focused on networking, curating, and publishing to foster the development of the art scene in Central Asia and preserve archives.
